The Tsviet groaned, as if waking from a terrible nightmare, curling into a tighter ball before realizing she was in the forest. Rubbing her eyes, she stood and shook the sleep from her head. Sleepwalking.
“Why was I not surprised…” she murmured as her mind snapped awake at last. What had triggered it? A nightmare of horrors past?
“I hope Shalua will not be vexed with me,” Shelke spoke again before beginning the slow walk back home.
